MemoMind AI Glasses Story: 4 Moments of Invisible Intelligence
Four AI-powered features. One pair of glasses. A new way to live and work.
Instead of a standard spec-sheet breakdown, this article brings you a real-world, hands-on comparison originally shared within the Reddit r/SmartGlasses community (with the reviewer’s explicit permission).
For this head-to-head test, the reviewer pitted an early MemoMind One DVT (Design Verification Test) engineering sample against his own Even Realities G2. Some flaws in MemoMind One DVT that appeared in this review have been fixed in the official release.
To the reviewer, the Even Realities G2 has long been his personal "gold standard" for daily-wear smart glasses due to its sleek design and text clarity. However, because the G2 lacks any audio capabilities, the reviewer was eager to see if the newly arrived MemoMind One could challenge its spot by bringing a complete, eyes-and-ears ambient experience to his daily routine.

When it comes to the final showdown, the reviewer says:
"Both are pretty close, honestly, but what separates them is the speaker function on MemoMind One. It's a game changer for daily use. You don't really get what you're missing until you have glasses with speakers that actually work.
The following sections contain the reviewer's original, category-by-category hands-on impressions and detailed comparisons.
MemoMind One: 8/10 | Even Realities G2: 9.5/10
Both have similar FOV, while G2 feels wider, the MemoMind feels taller, G2 looks slightly sharper to me. Brightness is the same overall, although my DVT unit is defective and retail expected to be brighter. Also, my DVT unit has a brightness uniformity issue where the bottom of the screen is brighter than the middle and top, as if the light source is coming from below. G2 wins it for me due to my eyes being more comfortable while reading the texts. Also, the scrolling through texts is smoother in G2 than in MemoMind.
MemoMind confirmed this brightness uniformity issue, and some other visual issues will be fixed on production units.
MemoMind One: 7.5/10 | Even Realities G2: N/A
One-sided here, G2 has no sound solution at all. MemoMind isn't an audiophile, but for the size of the speakers, it's decent enough even for light music listening, it's comparable to media glasses like Xreal and others basically. I'm not trying to listen to deep-bass music on these; I need them for notifications, phone calls (so my phone stays in my pocket most of the time), voice meetings, etc. Honestly, speakers should be a must-have on glasses now. Cuts down on having to carry earbuds or having a hand busy with the phone while you're working on something else.
Leakage test on my Samsung phone:
On your end, level 1 is fine unless it's a noisy spot, then you have to bump it up. Mics on both are rock solid, more on that in the AI section.
MemoMind told me that the production version will have less leakage, especially in quiet mode.
MemoMind One: 9/10 | Even Realities G2: 7.5/10
MemoMind software feels more polished to me so far. More futuristic looking, more functions, some genuinely nice sections. You can answer calls from the glasses themselves, and there's a separate quick-launch menu than the typical menu you see in both. No health section though, since MemoMind doesn't have a ring like Even Realities offers, which for me anyway, is not usable due to connectivity issues I'm having with it, until that improves, then I might consider using the ring.
Where MemoMind wins for me:
The translation languages now a bit limited in MemoMind and no Auto detection yet but considering its not even released product yet, its hard to judge it now so I will spend more time testing this when its released, as for performance initial testing I provided a news video for both in 2 different languages Chinese and Korean to translate to English, then gave result to Gemini to figure out differences (I dont speak these languages hence Gemini), basically as per Gemini MemoMind translations more accurate, while G2 easier to read as paragraphs separated better, however G2 missed out in some important info. Also, an additional plus to MemoMind, you can get AI summary of what is translated and saved in your phone. G2, on other hand, has the ability to export the text to PDF or word or TXT, which MemoMind doesn’t for the time being.
Teleprompt, on the other hand, I consider it a win for G2, the texts are easier to read and the voice detection, although great in both, but G2 scrolls down at a decent time than wait until the end as MemoMind does, also MemoMind scrolling is not as smooth, something might change at the production software version.
An important area where MemoMind needs work, in my opinion: There's some inconsistency in navigating with the glasses themselves. With G2, it's always double-click for back/exit super predictable. MemoMind needs to nail that down, so navigating on-glass feels consistent, where you know how to exit or enter, no matter where you are in the menus.
Even Realities has an Even Hub with lots of apps, so that’s a plus as well, but I didn’t find something game changer for me there. MemoMind also has plans to be developer-friendly with new apps.
MemoMind One: 8/10 (pre-production) | Even Realities G2: 10/10
G2 is rock solid. Feels and looks very premium, sturdy even after months. Top quality materials all round.
MemoMind looks like it uses similar materials and texture, but on my pre-production unit, the arms are less sturdy and can wiggle a bit. Keep in mind the speakers sit in the arms, which adds weight, which might be part of it. The main frame is slightly better finished on G2, but barely noticeable unless you really look. Again, pre-production unit, expect a better build quality on the retail version, and will do a follow-up on quality with the retail unit.
MemoMind One: 8/10 | Even Realities G2: 8/10
I normally don't like talking to AI or doing voice search instead, I usually type to avoid mistakes, but both of these glasses have the best voice recognition I've used in any device, mic, headset, or headphones, or earbuds…... The AI clearly understands me. I don't have to repeat myself, even when my voice cracks a bit.
Right now, G2 has the edge in raw speed, and the answers feel more direct. When MemoMind replies, it types word by word slower than G2 does.
Where MemoMind pulls ahead:
Still early days for MemoMind AI overall, so I'll revisit it in my retail unit review.
MemoMind One: 9/10 | Even Realities G2: 6/10
When I first got G2, I'd have given it a 3, but a lot of updates later, it's a 6 for me. Bluetooth is way more stable now, but there are still times it disconnects after taking the glasses off and putting them back on, doesn't auto-reconnect after going slightly out of range, or the app stops responding sometimes, although rare nowadays.
MemoMind, on the other hand, has been rock solid, as long as you keep the app running (true for both, to be fair).
Multi-device connectivity is a big one for MemoMind. I can have my personal PC, my gaming handheld, and my phone connected at the same time for audio, which is huge for me. The audio latency is better than most earbuds I've owned, basically not noticeable.
MemoMind One: 9/10 | Even Realities G2: 10/10
Both are the best-looking and most comfortable display glasses I've tested. My third place would be like a 5/10 in this category; that's how far ahead these two are. You get multiple designs on both; they look like normal frames, not techy gadgets, and they're light enough that you forget you're wearing tech.
G2 feels light and comfortable all around, with slight heaviness in the nose, but that's me being picky; overall better than MemoMind, although just slightly. MemoMind could have been worse here, but the speakers in the arms actually help by shifting the center of gravity back, so it's comfortable enough for all-day use. An interesting one — MemoMind's frame looks thinner to me, while G2's arms are thinner. I just wish MemoMind's nosepad was as comfortable as G2's. So although MemoMind does feel heavier, but comfort wise its very very close to G2 due to better weight distribution.
About the display box, you can spot it at certain angles on both. Barely visible on either, but G2 is maybe 10% less visible than MemoMind. You have to look hard for it, but in certain lighting, it can be more obvious. I'm expecting this to improve in the final version as well of MemoMind.
MemoMind One: 10/10 | Even Realities G2: 8.5/10
All I really care about is full-day battery and both do that. Where the surprise factor is, on paper G2 seems superior, but in reality, when comparing the same functionality and usage which is light in my case, I got the following results under a full day of testing:
MemoMind numbers are based on features running that are not available in G2, hence the difference. Now, when you use speakers for several hours of use and then have both AI Memory function and Bluetooth multi device connection turned ON all day, MemoMind will deliver full day of battery life easily with spare, I achieved a rate about: 3-4% per hour under moderate to heavy use. Keep in mind the production unit is expected to have even better battery life.
Regarding charging G2 offers a charging case and MemoMind is planning to do the same in the near future as well. I don’t have the MemoMind charging case yet, so I will update this section in my full review later. But the charging speed in both is phenomenal. Basically you're looking at minutes of charging rather than hours to achieve full day of charge.
MemoMind One: 9.5/10 | Even Realities G2: 8/10
Both are pretty close honestly, but what separates them is the speaker function on MemoMind One. It's a game changer for daily use. You don't really get what you're missing until you have glasses with speakers that actually work.
The other big factor here is the price. With or without lenses there's a considerable difference between the two. Yes G2 feels like the more premium product of the two, but only slightly, MemoMind is already premium enough on its own. When you add the speakers, better software and connectivity, and a much cheaper price, for me it's a no-brainer. MemoMind One wins it and right now it's the benchmark in daily-usable smart glasses for me, it will only get better with retail unit.
As I mentioned, another review will be done when the retail unit arrives—I might add more glasses to the mix by then if I find something worthy for daily use.
