MemoMind One vs MIRA 2.0: Are They Worthy Alternatives to Even G2?

MemoMind One vs MIRA 2.0: Are They Worthy Alternatives to Even G2?
For much of the past year, the Even G2 was the pair of camera-free display glasses to beat. Then MemoMind One arrived as a serious challenger. Just as a direct comparison was taking shape, MIRA released its 2.0 update, turning a two-way contest into something more interesting.
After testing all three over several weeks, tech reviewer @Non-Tech Tech Guy reached an unexpected conclusion: he would recommend MemoMind One to most people, but MIRA 2.0 was the pair he found himself wearing most often. Even G2, meanwhile, still had several features he considered the best in the group.
So, are MemoMind One and MIRA 2.0 worthy alternatives to Even G2? The comparisons below may give you an insight.

On paper, MemoMind One and MIRA 2.0 both look like credible alternatives to Even G2. Each has its own advantages in certain areas. But specifications only tell part of the story. What really matters is how these differences play out when you wear the glasses every day.

How Do They Compare in Everyday Use

Dashboard: Information, Customization, and Control

When it comes to the dashboard itself, Even G2 is still the strongest of the three. Calendar entries, reminders, and notifications are easy to check at a glance. Users can also tap into additional information, such as news articles and stock updates.
MemoMind One comes next, with a different strength: customization. Its dashboard and quick menu offer plenty of flexibility, and users can navigate some shortcuts with head gestures. While it doesn't offer the same level of in-depth information as Even G2, the ability to tailor the interface makes it easier to arrange everyday tools around personal preferences.
MIRA 2.0 is less flexible in this area. Its dashboard content can't be customized, and in the reviewer's experience, the dashboard disappeared whenever he looked down. While it provides a way to check information, it doesn't offer the same level of control or depth as the other two. Where MIRA stands out is what happens after a notification arrives. Users can reply to incoming messages by voice, dictate and send new text messages, and even access their emails, compose replies, and send new emails without reaching for their phone.
That makes the distinction fairly clear. Even and MemoMind both offer useful ways to check information, with MemoMind giving users more room to customize the experience. MIRA goes a step further by letting users act on messages directly from the glasses.

Everyday AI: Different Ways to Get Help

Asking an AI assistant a question is easy. The more useful test is whether it can give you a relevant answer when something comes up.
In the @Non-Tech Tech Guy's everyday question tests, MemoMind One was the most consistent of the three. When asked about NFL games and live scores, it returned an answer, although the scores were a few minutes behind. Even G2 provided outdated information, while MIRA couldn't retrieve the information at that particular moment.
The differences are less straightforward when the glasses are used during a conversation.
Even G2's Conversate can listen to a discussion and proactively surface relevant information. Users can provide notes as context beforehand, and the reviewer liked being able to revisit previous responses. He also found that its answers weren't always accurate.
MemoMind One offers AI Tips during live captions, bringing suggestions and relevant information into an ongoing conversation.
MIRA 2.0 takes a more manual approach: users can call on tools such as Fact Check or Get Info when they want help. The reviewer found MIRA's answers detailed in some of his tests.
If you prefer AI to anticipate what might be useful during a discussion, Even's approach may appeal to you. If you want suggestions alongside live captions, MemoMind offers a more integrated experience. And if you'd rather decide exactly when to call on AI, MIRA gives you more direct control.

Long-Term Memory: Organizing Conversations or Finding One Detail

Long-term memory is one of the most interesting parts of this comparison. It's worth looking beyond what an assistant can answer in the moment and considering how useful it remains when it has context from previous conversations and experiences.
Even AI Conversate must remain active to capture information. While it's running, the reviewer couldn't use other features. That's a meaningful limitation compared with MemoMind and MIRA, which offer background memory without requiring the same continuous active session.
MemoMind impressed the reviewer with how well it could bring up past conversations directly through the glasses. Its companion app also offered the more polished memory management experience of the two. It organizes information into daily, weekly, and monthly summaries, identifies follow-up items, and keeps track of things the reviewer wants to do. There's also an AI Recorder for intentionally recording a conversation and getting an AI-generated summary afterward.
MIRA's app felt less refined, but it performed particularly well when the reviewer tried to retrieve specific information through the glasses. In one direct comparison, he asked both products the same question about something that had happened earlier that day. MIRA found the detail he was looking for, while MemoMind didn't.
The two also approach speaker recognition differently. MemoMind's Voice Print ID can learn the user's voice and label what they say in conversations. MIRA takes this further in the reviewer's experience: when another person speaks, it can ask who that person is and then label their contributions in the conversation. It also keeps a full transcript that's easy to export.
Overall, @Non-Tech Tech Guy considered MemoMind's memory experience better organized, with a more polished companion app. But when he needed to retrieve a particular detail, MIRA was still the one he trusted most.

Speakers, Navigation, and Translation: Small Differences That Add Up

The reviewer initially didn't consider the lack of speakers on Even G2 a major drawback. After spending more time with all three, he changed his mind.
MemoMind One has Harman AudioEFX open-ear speakers, with different audio modes, voice volume control, and Quiet Mode to reduce sound leakage. It also supports connecting a second device for music playback. MIRA has built-in speakers too, although the reviewer found its audio controls less extensive.
Navigation is another area where MemoMind stood out in the review. The reviewer found its voice controls particularly smooth, including switching between walking and cycling directions. MIRA offered conversational destination selection and one feature the other two didn't: driving navigation.
Translation revealed a different trade-off. Even and MIRA handled automatic language changes more smoothly in the reviewer's tests. MemoMind adds AI summaries and suggestions to the translation experience, but struggled when the other speaker switched languages midway through a conversation.
If you regularly move between languages, that difference may matter more than an additional summary feature. If you often listen to directions or AI responses, built-in audio may have a greater impact on your everyday experience.

Comfort, Prescription, and How the Glasses Look

The reviewer found Even G2 the lightest at 36 g, but noticed pressure from its nose pads after wearing it for several hours. MemoMind One weighs 46.6 g. Despite being the heaviest of the three, its weight distribution was better than he expected, although he did notice some pressure behind his ears.
MIRA 2.0 weighs 39 g and was the pair he found easiest to wear throughout the day. He also felt it looked the least like traditional everyday glasses. That is worth considering. Weight and comfort matter, but so does whether you like how a pair looks on your face. A feature-rich pair of glasses won't become part of your daily routine if you rarely feel like wearing it. For some buyers, a more familiar-looking frame may be just as important as a small difference in weight.
Prescription support may narrow the choice further. The reviewer found Even G2 offered the widest prescription range. MIRA 2.0 supports progressive lenses, while MemoMind One currently supports single-vision distance prescriptions within a narrower range. If you need prescription lenses, check the available configuration and prescription limits before ordering.

So, Are They Worthy Alternatives to Even G2

Yes, but neither is a one-to-one replacement.
Even G2 still has an edge in display quality, battery life, and its app ecosystem. MIRA 2.0 takes a different approach, with stronger hands-free messaging and email features. MemoMind One offers a more balanced mix, making it accessible to a wider range of users.
After testing all three, @Non-Tech Tech Guy recommended MemoMind One for most people, citing its speaker, steadiest everyday AI, memory experience, navigation, and iPhone and Android support. MemoMind One now starts at $499, still the lowest of the three. Its developer ecosystem is also gradually opening up, giving users and developers more room to explore new apps and ways to use the glasses over time. You do give up some advantages found elsewhere, including Even's lighter frame and MIRA's hands-free messaging features.

Ultimately, the better choice depends on which parts of the Even G2 experience you want to keep, and which you're willing to trade for something different.
