Swipe, Tap, Done: Control AI Glasses with a Ring, Remote, and Mouse

Swipe, Tap, Done: Control AI Glasses with a Ring, Remote, and Mouse
At your computer, both hands are on the keyboard, and reaching up to your glasses breaks your flow. On stage, you want to deliver your lines with confidence and keep the script firmly under your control. Reaching up, talking out loud, or pulling out your phone all work, but none of them is always the most convenient.
And let’s be honest, the usual ways can also get a bit dull. If you’re wearing smart wearables that feel like the future, why not control it in a way that feels like the future too? With MemoMind One, compatible Bluetooth accessories like a mouse, remote, or ring offer another way to interact with your glasses.

Smart Glasses Control Ways

Until now, you could control MemoMind One using voice commands, the temple button, the MemoMind app, and head gestures. Compatible third-party Bluetooth accessories add another option.
With a supported device, you can navigate notifications, select a to-do, open a news story, or bring up the quick menu using actions on the connected accessory.
You can also assign an action to open an AI conversation. When the dialog is open, triggering Back closes it, while the original tap-to-close method remains available.
Supported gestures can also help you navigate a script in the teleprompter’s AI follow mode. Swipe up or left to revisit an earlier passage, or down or right to move ahead.
And that's just the start. Depending on the accessory and its supported controls, you can explore more ways to interact with MemoMind One.

Available Bluetooth Accessories

KiWear Ring: Control with Your Finger

KiWear Ring grew out of a request from the MemoMind community: could you control your glasses with a ring? We added support for compatible Bluetooth HID devices and partnered with KiWear to bring that idea to life.
Picture this. You’re walking down the street in your glasses, music playing. You pass somewhere loud, and the song disappears under the noise. You don’t pull out your phone or hunt for a button. You turn the finger wearing your KiWear Ring, the volume comes up, and it feels a little like casting a spell.
KiWear Ring also supports several controls through its preset gestures.
KiWear Ring is an officially supported device, so you don’t need to map each gesture manually. Connect the ring and follow the in-app guide to learn what each gesture does.
Already own MemoMind One and want to try another way to control your glasses? Visit the KiWear Ring Kickstarter campaign to learn more about its availability.

Remote and Mice: Control with Some Clicks

Besides rings, compatible Bluetooth remotes and mice offer another way to control MemoMind One. A remote can help you navigate a script, while a mouse can be useful at your desk.
These accessories use manual setup: choose the device type in the app, record an action, and assign it to a glasses function. You can configure single tap, double tap, Back, Wake AI, or Quick Menu, then rename actions or change their assignments later. Officially adapted devices like the KiWear Ring use preset controls instead. Compatibility depends on the specific model and the actions it supports.

How to Connect

Make sure your AI glasses are connected to the MemoMind app, and put your ring or accessory in Bluetooth pairing mode. Then:
  • In the app, open Third-party Devices.
  • Search for and select your device.
  • Follow the on-screen prompts to start using it or finish setup.

Good to know:
  1. You can connect one accessory at a time. Disconnect the current one before switching.
  2. If a paired accessory drops out, MemoMind One keeps looking for it and reconnects on its own once conditions allow, with your setup intact. If you disconnected or unbound it yourself, it won’t reconnect automatically, but you can tap Reconnect in the app sidebar.
  3. Some accessories need their own companion app to be online. If yours won’t connect, check that app first, then put the device back in pairing mode.
